World Book Day 2007
World Book Day is an annual celebration of books and reading.
Over 100 million children in the world receive no kind of
schooling. Two-thirds of them live in sub-Saharan Africa. Book
Aid International makes over half a million books available each
year to readers in 17 African countries, and Palestine. The
charity supports schools, public libraries, universities,
hospitals and grassroots community organisations. |
